HAMLETTE: THE MELANCHOLY DAME
This spring, the Dawson Theatre Collective is excited to bring you our very own take on the most famous and enduring tragedy in the English language, with a cast of 37 students!
DanaPharm is the largest manufacturer of erectile dysfunction pills in the world, an empire whose rule over the corporate world remains uncontested. After the untimely death of its leader Hamlet Sr., the company is thrown into turmoil. But after some disturbing information is revealed from a ghostly visitation by the late CEO, the investigation is reopened as his daughter, Hamlette, seeks revenge for his murder most foul. Questions rise ominously out of the dark: who really killed Hamlet, Sr.? What was he trying to hide? Who, if anyone, will be left standing by the end?
A caustic and satirical murder-mystery musical that lampoons everything from corporate business to hipsters to the Occupy movement, Hamlette: The Melancholy Dame is sure to keep you guessing and laughing right to the very end.
